The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the E-ON / NCR Pakenham Ski Days on 4-5 March 2025 is now open.
The application deadline is 17 February 2025.
AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:
Soldier On, Eastern Ontario and the National Capital Regions, will host
Alpine Ski & Snowboard Days at the Mount Pakenham Ski Resort on 4-5 March 2025. This will include group Alpine and Snowboard ski lessons at the beginner and intermediate level on both days. Para-Skiing instruction is available. All rental equipment, including helmets will be provided for those who indicate the requirement and ski time is available after the lessons are completed.
Equipment and instruction will be provided. The facility is wheelchair accessible.
The number of Soldier On participants is limited to
14.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)
from E-ON Region and the NCR Region within a reasonable drive to Pakenham, ON who

Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate and must have the authorization form submitted to the E-ON Soldier On Regional Coordinator by the application deadline.
*NOTE FOR SERVING MEMBERS: Amidst current financial limitations and a federal directive to reduce defense spending within DND by a Billion dollars, serving members' participation in Soldier On events and activities will now be limited to within their own local region (i.e., selection for event outside of where they reside is unlikely). As a result, serving members are advised that participation beyond their local area is likely to be denied, as Soldier On cannot sponsor any temporary duty status for serving members in order to align with government guidelines for expenditure reduction. Unfortunately, serving members are not authorized to participate in Soldier On activities and events while on leave.*
